Downloadables: August 5 - 12 2007

If running and jumping is your thing and you don't mind having several years worth of wear on your controllers contracted within a few minutes, Track and Field is here for you. Although it was touted highly by the Gamerscore Blog crew, when they topped in Toronto, I wasn't too impressed with it. I can't imagine how they could really improve a game that consists of hitting the same 2 buttons over and over, but I guess they did a good job.

On the VC this week we've got Waverace 64. Few people know this, but Shigeru Miyamoto actually directed this project. That's also why it's one of the best 64 games ever. Adventures of Lolo fills the standard platformer checkbox and Galaga '90 (Now with Warp Drives!) is here to give you a better reason to hate space bees.

Xbox Live Arcade:
- Track & Field (400)

Wii Virtual Console:
- Waverace 64 (N64, 1000)
- Adventures of Lolo (NES, 500)
- Galaga '90 (Turbografx-16, 600)
