Possibilities of a 360 Price Drop

Cheapassgamer.com I once again the first to provide some details on console pricedrops. Acording to both Wal-Mart and Toys 'R Us flyers for next week a $50 price drop will be hitting at least the premium unit in the US.

A price drop on the system has been expected for a while now and with this it looks like the independent press has beaten the press release to the punch. I expect we'l se similar news for here, north of the border shortly.

If Microsoft is smart as they are wealthy, they would drop on all units, not just the premium. Also, I think a $100 CDN drop may occur. Simply due to the fact our dollar is rocking and the exchange rate makes it more cst effective to buy American cnsoles right now.

I also forsee a repacking of the core sku. I've said it before, but if they tossed in a 64 MB memoy unit and dropped thecost there wold be a real fight against the Wii. With the announcement of Viva Pinata set to lure DS users over to the 360, a core bundle with te 360 verion of the game makes perfect sense. Make it as easy as you can for moms to buy that Xbx 360 for christmas and they just might do it.
