I thought we were supposed to be in the summer games drought. We've got games coming out for every major platform, and not just movie adaptations (though the certainly aren't scarce), but real playable titles. The long-awaited Darkness has finally reared its luminous deprived head, proving once again that the comic-book world has some pretty cool source material. Overlord is also looking to be a decent game, a mix-up of genres with a humourous dash of evil. The demo didn't win me over, but I'm willing to give it another shot if I hear good things. Hour of Victory on the other hand repulsed me to new heights. Developers should not release demos if their games suck.
Pokemon Battle Revolution is here to sustain your Nintendo addiction until Metroid arrives later in July. I'm going to play this one simply to see how the interactivity with the DS works. Using the DS as a controller for the game sounds cool, but with little in the way of additional gameplay I wonder how well this will hold anyones attention, pokefan or not.
The PS3 is finally geting some releases too; Rainbow Six is finally here and along with everyone the only game bold enough to step up against EA's realistic MLB franchise with some crazy power-ups to boost your louisville slugger. The Bigs looks to be interesting, the Mario sports games have proven people don't mind arcadey gameplay in their titles, as long as it's done well; now we see if 2K made it well.
Lastly amidst all these high-profile releases the one that's caught my attention is actually GrimGrimoire. An original PS2 title that looks like it could sum up to be a pretty decent game. Mixing RTS elements and a cool art style makes me curious, the game looks like it could be a lot of fun. Besides, it may be the last time you have a real excuse to pull out the Playstation 2.

Harry Potter and the I'm on every fucking platform.
Actually the most whored-out tile goes to Ratatouille. I left out the fact it's available on cell phones, GBA, Xbox Gamecube and Mac.
MAC!
